Staff Accountant
I’m excited to be partnering with a hiring manager I’ve known for over 15 years (!!!) to add a Staff Accountant to his team at a privately held manufacturing company in the Twin Cities.
This is not a “plug-and-play” accounting role.
He’s actively rebuilding the function and is looking for someone who wants to roll up their sleeves, take ownership, and be part of elevating the team. I’ve worked with him both personally and professionally, and he’s someone who will invest in the right person while also pushing them to grow.

Responsibilities
- Support month-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Own fixed asset accounting and partnering with operations on capitalization
- Assist with financial analysis and variance commentary
- Support audit and working on ad hoc projects
- Help improve processes and overall accuracy of the financials
Desired Skills and Experience
- 2+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or manufacturing preferred)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting fundamentals
- Someone who is proactive, curious, and willing to go above and beyond
- Not a checklist doer – this role requires someone who can think, problem-solve, and take initiative
- Comfortable in a hands-on, evolving environment
