Vice President of Finance

  • Job Tag: #LI-AH1
  • Posted: February 27,2026
  • Salary: $220,000

We have been retained by a private equity-backed, market-leading commercial services organization to identify a high-impact Vice President of Finance to help lead the company through its next phase of accelerated growth.

This profitable business has scaled to more than $50M in revenue while operating with an entrepreneurial, lean infrastructure. With strong EBITDA performance and committed investment support, the company is now positioned to double in size over the next three years through organic expansion and strategic acquisitions.

To support this trajectory, the organization is investing in elevating its finance function from a primarily accounting-driven structure to a forward-looking, analytics-enabled strategic finance capability.

The Vice President of Finance will report directly to the CEO and serve as the senior financial leader for the organization. This role will oversee an established accounting team while building the FP&A, forecasting, performance analytics, and financial rigor necessary to support a scaled, multi-location enterprise.

This opportunity is ideal for an ascending finance leader who is ready to step into a broader mandate, build infrastructure, partner closely with executive leadership and private equity stakeholders, and play a central role in enterprise value creation.

The selected candidate will receive a strong compensation package, comprehensive benefits, and participation in long-term value creation.

NOTE: This position is local to Minneapolis, and the selected candidate will be required to work on-site at the company’s corporate headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as strategic financial partner to the CEO and ownership group.
  • Lead and develop the existing accounting team while professionalizing the broader finance function.
  • Build and enhance FP&A capabilities including annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning.
  • Develop KPI dashboards and performance analytics to improve operational visibility and decision-making.
  • Strengthen cash flow management, working capital optimization, and financial controls.
  • Support acquisition evaluation, financial diligence, and post-acquisition integration.
  • Prepare board-level reporting materials and participate in investor communications.
  • Implement scalable systems and processes to support rapid growth and geographic expansion.
  • Drive financial discipline across the organization while maintaining an entrepreneurial and solutions-oriented culture.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 10 to 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience.
  • Experience in private equity-backed, high-growth, or multi-location service businesses strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success building or enhancing FP&A and financial infrastructure.
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience supporting M&A transactions and integration efforts preferred.
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate strategically and tactically.
  • CPA and or MBA preferred.
