VP of Accounting
We are partnering with a distribution company in Eagan, MN to hire a VP of Accounting to lead the accounting function through a period of significant growth, transformation, and acquisition activity.
This role will be instrumental in a upcoming ERP implementation, entity consolidation, internal controls build-out, and acquisition integration.
Hybrid schedule with Mon/Fri remote.

Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations: GL, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, and revenue recognition
- Lead month/quarter/year-end close and prepare GAAP financial statements
- Navigate complex technical accounting: acquisition accounting, joint ventures, and investment structures
- Design and maintain internal controls and governance over financial reporting
- Lead ERP upgrade and chart of accounts redesign
- Lead and develop a 6-person accounting team
- Partner with CFO, executive leadership, and parent company on strategic financial matters
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred (active or inactive)
- 10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience
- Public company experience required
- Prior acquisition/purchase accounting experience strongly preferred
- ERP implementation experience
- Strong leadership, executive presence, and cross-functional communication skills
