Krista Chaska, J.D., is an Associate within SkyWater Search Partners’ Legal division, where she specializes in the placement of attorneys and legal professionals in law firms and corporate legal departments nationwide. She recruits across a wide range of litigation and transactional practice areas, including family law, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, commercial litigation, and employment law.

Krista brings a unique combination of legal experience, analytical thinking, and relationship-building to her work in executive search. Prior to joining SkyWater, she spent several years working in public defense with both the Ramsey County Public Defender’s Office and the Hennepin County Public Defender’s Office. Most recently, she served as an Attorney Editor at Thomson Reuters, where she further developed her legal research and analytical expertise.

Originally from Salt Lake City, Krista earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Utah before moving to Minnesota to attend the University of St. Thomas School of Law. She now lives in Saint Paul with her fiancé.

Outside of work, Krista enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active by fishing, hiking, camping, playing tennis, and golfing. She also has a passion for travel, and counts London as her favorite place in the world.
