Director of Product
SkyWater Search has partnered with a growth stage, PE-backed technology company hiring its first Director of Product. This is not a backfill. Product decisions here have historically been made informally across engineering and marketing, and this hire will be the first person to own the function end to end: strategy, roadmap, and process, across a SaaS platform, a mobile app, and manufacturer-facing products used by thousands of retail locations.
The company recently took on new investment and is in the middle of professionalizing, moving from a long-running, founder-led business into a more disciplined, software-first operation. You would report to a VP of Software Engineering and work daily with engineering and marketing leadership. There are no direct reports today, but the scope and visibility are real, and the function is expected to grow as the company scales toward tripling its store footprint.
What you need to have: a background running a real PDLC or stage gate process, not an ad hoc one, direct experience shipping AI-powered product features from idea through launch, and the ability to build credibility and buy-in with people who are used to owning pieces of product themselves. You should be comfortable in a resource-constrained, fast-moving environment, including if you are coming from a larger company and want to run your own show for the first time.
This is a primarily in-office role in the Twin Cities metro. Base salary in the 160 to 180 range depending on experience.

VP of Software Engineering
SkyWater has been retained by a private equity backed SaaS company in the Twin Cities Metro to attract and hire a VP of Software Engineering. This is a newly created leadership seat, not a backfill. The company has been around more than 20 years and is looking to shift from a tech-enabled business to a true software and data company.
As the VP, you would own the technology roadmap end to end. That includes leading a team of 15+ engineers, migrating a legacy on-prem environment to the cloud, standing up compliance, and building out new self-serve, BI-driven product tools for customers and their partners. You would work closely with a product leader on the roadmap but own the technology function outright and report into the senior leadership team.
Non-negotiables: hands-on experience taking a company through a real cloud modernization, current and genuine use of AI-assisted development tools and workflows, and the ability to work in office in the Metro (with flexibility).
What makes this worth leaving a current seat for: real ownership of a technology function at a growth-stage company with fresh capital behind it, a builder’s mandate with room to shape the org and the stack from close to scratch, and equity participation tied to the company’s next phase of growth.
Base salary is in the low to mid 200s, with bonus and equity potential. To apply or learn more, reach out confidentially to Zac Kallas at SkyWater Search Partners.
Senior Manager, Data
SkyWater has partnered with a global manufacturer with operations across dozens of countries is building a formal customer data function from the ground up, and this is the first hire into it. The company just brought on a counterpart to own supply side master data. Now they need someone to do the same on the customer side: hierarchies, legal entity structures, segmentation, and the master data rules that make the customer record trustworthy across every system that touches it.
This is an individual contributor role reporting to the VP of Data and Analytics, with the CTO directly involved in the hiring. There is no team to inherit and no existing playbook. You would be building the customer MDM function and the data quality standards largely from scratch. A separate team owns broader data governance, so this role stays focused on the customer domain specifically.
What is required: manufacturing or B2B industry experience, hands on MDM work (Informatica or a comparable platform), advanced SQL for data quality analysis and root cause work, and comfort operating without a fully built structure around you.
Compensation is targeted in the 175 to 180 range with 20 percent bonus potential. Location is SW Metro, four days onsite.
If you are a senior or principal level data professional who wants ownership of a domain from day one rather than inheriting someone else’s mess, reach out confidentially to discuss.
Senior Business Analyst (Minnesota; PowerBI)
SkyWater has partnered with a manufacturing company in the Twin Cities area to support operations on their Business Systems Team. This is a senior-level position and offers great visibility, ownership, and the opportunity for advancement on a growing team.

Candidates should bring at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and must reside in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. This position will be on-site 4 days per-week.

Senior Business Systems Analyst (Minnesota, hybrid)
SkyWater has partnered with a mid-sized manufacturer and a regulated, global footprint that is hiring a senior contributor to sit inside its Corporate and Operations Applications team, focused on Finance. This is not a requirements-only role. You will own small to mid-size Finance projects from initiation through hypercare, including solution selection, risk management, and stakeholder communication, while also functioning as the go-to resource for the Finance business users on the company’s ERP environment.
You would be a key voice in how the business interacts with its ERP system, and you need to be comfortable operating in ambiguity rather than needing a locked roadmap on day one.
What’s non-negotiable: five or more years as a business analyst working in ERP with a Finance concentration. Project management experience running full project lifecycles is required, not preferred.
Onsite 3 to 4 days a week in the Twin Cities area.
This is a salaried position complete with benefits & bonus. Must be local to MN, and cannot require sponsorship.
