SkyWater Search is partnering with a Minneapolis-based engineering and manufacturing organization that designs and delivers complex mechanized structural systems for large-scale projects to find an IT Support Specialist (full-time).
This is a foundational, hands-on role for someone who wants to own day-to-day IT operations in a growing environment that is actively investing in IT systems, ERP modernization, and business intelligence initiatives. The position will work closely with an external MSP while gradually building internal IT capability.
Key Requirements:
Strong generalist IT background (7+ years) across helpdesk, systems administration, and end-user support
Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows environments, and basic networking
Comfort acting as a “jack of all trades” supporting hardware, software, onboarding/offboarding, and tickets end-to-end
Ability to coordinate with MSPs and manage escalations, vendor relationships, and IT support workflows
Exposure to IT projects such as ERP systems, cloud migrations, or business application support is a plus
Strong communication skills with ability to support non-technical users in an engineering-heavy environment
Willingness to work fully onsite in the West Metro
Our client that is located in the Southwest Metro of the Twin Cities is looking to bring on an IT Manager to oversee the department. It’s a small group, so this person would have all IT responsibility for the company. The main focus for this person in the short term would be on the ERP side of the business, specifically with Netsuite.
The company continues to integrate Netsuite across the business, as well as bringing in Salesforce to help drive their continued growth. The company expects to grow 30% this year alone. Which also is going to require an IT roadmap, something that this person would also be tasks with creating. So working with company leadership to define IT strategy to meet those growth expectations.
While ERP management is a key responsibility, management of day to day IT tasks will also be part of this role. General IT support, server management, troubleshooting and some helpdesk tasks as well, although the company does contract with the third part IT support company to help with those responsibilities as well.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a interest and background in ERP integrations, preferably Netsuite, and the ability to translate business needs to projects within the department to meet those needs. This person will also evaluate and build the current team that reports to this role. This person will also be a part of the executive team driving the “Mission 430” which is their goal of significantly growing the bank.
This is a privately own bank as well, so decisions can be made quickly and autonomously, so this isn’t our typical banking environment. They are or course competitive when it comes to compensation as well as a full benefits package that is to be expected.
